HMS Leigh - Bernard Maybe

Bernard Charles Maybe was 18 when he was conscripted into the RAF in 1943 to serve as a Flight Mechanic and Ground Crew. Remembering how he felt when he was first conscripted, Mr Maybe compares his experiences to those of teenagers today. Sadly Bernie died in 2019.
